Answer
What languages can you speak?
I mainly speak Chinese, it has various dialects, including Mandarin, Cantonese, and Shanghainese and so on. When I moved to Shanghai for my studies, I found the local subway announcements really hard to understand because of the different dialect. It was pretty challenging at first!
What languages would you like to learn in the future?
I'd love to learn Japanese someday. I'm super into anime, but I always need subtitles or watch the dubbed versions. Being fluent would let me enjoy the shows without missing any of the cool details.
How do you learn a foreign languages?
I usually dive into lots of stuff in the language I’m learning, like browsing social media or reading magazines. I also grab any chance to chat with native speakers to practice speaking. Immersing myself this way really helps me pick things up faster.
How are languages taught and learned in your school?
As for English, it was a big deal at my school. We kicked off with the phonetics, did tons of reading and vocab, and had quick quizzes every day. It was pretty tough, but it really helped us get the hang of the language.
