Describe a person who is full of energy.

part II

You should say:

  Who he or she is

  What he or she does

Why he or she is full of energy

And explain how you feel about this person

The person who immediately comes to mind is my roommate Jason, who's basically the human version of an energy drink. ◆As computer science majors, most of us in the dorm are night owls glued to our laptops, but Jason defies the stereotype - he's the president of the robotics club, a part-time coding tutor, and still manages to be the life of every dorm party.

What he does daily is borderline superhuman. ★While I'm struggling to drag myself to 8 AM lectures, Jason would have already finished a gym session, debugged a club project, and memorized 50 GRE vocabulary words - all before breakfast. ◆Last semester, he organized a 24-hour "Hackathon" where teams developed apps for campus sustainability. ◆Even at 3 AM when everyone was running on instant noodles and caffeine, he was hopping between teams cracking programming jokes to keep the morale up.

I used to assume his energy came from extroversion, but the truth is more profound. ◆He once told me his secret during a late-night coding marathon: "Every project is like a video game level - the tougher the bug, the sweeter the victory." ★It dawned on me that his relentless drive stems from framing challenges as adventures. ◆Physically, he swears by power naps - 20 minutes between classes - and always has trail mix in his backpack instead of energy drinks.

Living with Jason has been transformative. ◆Before, I thought burning the midnight oil was the only path to academic success. ★Had I not witnessed his approach, I wouldn't have realized that strategic breaks and varied activities actually boost productivity. ◆Now I join his study sprints - 45 minutes focused coding followed by 15 minutes of basketball drills. ◆Sure, his energy level sometimes makes me feel like a sloth in comparison, but it's contagious in the best way. ◆He's living proof that in university, energy management trumps all-nighters, and that passion can turn even the most tedious programming tasks into something electrifying.
