Yes, they should. I believe employees should have their own goals. For employees, the most realistic/ˌriːəˈlɪstɪk/ and essential part of working in a company/ˈkʌmpəni/ is earning a salary. Setting financial goals can provide them with more motivation to work harder. For example, by aiming for better performance, they might increase their chances of a pay raise or promotion. Without goals, employees might lose/luːz/ the drive to improve and succeed in their jobs.
