What films do you like?

I’m really into sci-fi movies like The Matrix and Transformers. Since I study physics, I love anything that dives into space or aliens. Even if some plots(情节) are not always spot on, they always get me thinking about what’s next.

Did you often watch films when you were a child?

Not really, I didn’t watch a lot of movies when I was a kid. I was swamped /swɒmpt/with homework and extra classes, so there just wasn’t time. I’d have loved to watch more, but school always came first.

Did you ever go to the cinema/ˈsɪnəmə/ alone as a child?

Nah/næ/, I never went to the cinema by myself when I was a kid. I always went with my parents or my brother since it wasn’t really safe and I didn’t have much pocket money. Plus, it was just easier to go together.

Do you often go to the cinema with your friends?

Absolutely! My friends and I love hitting the cinema on weekends. Whenever a cool new movie comes out, especially a sci-fi flick/flɪk/(电影）, we make it a point to watch it together and then geek out over the plot afterward.
