Answer

1. When did you start using social media?

Well, I actually started using social media when I was about twelve years old. Initially, it was just to keep in touch with friends and share photos, but over time, it became a more integral/ˈɪntɪɡrəl/ part of my daily life.

2. Do you think you spend too much time on social media?

Honestly, This is truly a thought-provoking question. I believe that, admittedly/ədˈmɪtɪdli/, I do spend a considerable amount of time on social media each day. While it provides me with a convenient way to stay connected with friends and family. Clearly, to keep up with current events, I sometimes find myself mindlessly/ˈmaɪndləsli/ scrolling/ˈskrəʊlɪŋ/ for hours. This excessive/ɪkˈsesɪv/ usage/ˈjuːsɪdʒ/ can potentially distract/dɪˈstrækt/ me from more productive activities, such as reading or exercising. Therefore, I think it's essential to find a healthy balance and set specific time limits to ensure that social media usage remains beneficial rather than detrimental/ˌdetrɪˈment(ə)l/.

3. Do your friends use social media?

Yes, most of my friends are active on social media. They use platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter regularly to share updates, photos, and to communicate with each other.

4. What do people often do on social media?

People engage in a wide variety of activities on social media, primarily/praɪˈmerəli/ aiming to connect and share. They often post personal updates, photos, and videos to document their lives and experiences. Additionally, many/ˈmeni/ use social media to follow news, trends, and influencers/ˈɪnfluənsə(r)/, obviously, which helps them stay informed and entertained. Beyond sharing, social media is also a platform for networking, whether for personal relationships or professional purposes/ɪz/. Moreover, people participate in discussions, join groups with similar/ˈsɪmələ(r)/ interests, and even use these platforms for marketing and business purposes. Overall, social media serves as a multifaceted/ˌmʌltiˈfæsɪtɪd/ tool/tuːl/ for communication, information sharing, and community/kəˈmjuːnəti/ building.
